The Home has been running for more than 140 years and has
quite a colourful history. Over 1,830,000 house moves took place last year
in the UK. Almost a half of these house moves involved pets, meaning that at
least 228,750 pets could have suffered undue stress and been with owners who
did not know how best to care for them on moving day. Battersea Dogs & Cats
Home is a registered charity that depends totally on the generosity of its
supporters to continue the vital work they do.
